From the very first moment, we felt welcome at the Strandhotel Kärntnerhof. The location is fantastic – right at the water, with its own well-maintained beach and a magnificent view over Lake Wörthersee. Waking up to the gentle sound of the waves is simply priceless.
Our room was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and offered a fantastic view. Everything seemed lovingly maintained, from the garden to the sun terraces. We especially appreciated the many little extras the hotel offered – from stand-up paddleboarding and bicycles to cozy reading corners.
Breakfast was a highlight: fresh, regional products, a wide selection, and the opportunity to sit right by the lake. A perfect start to the day with a true holiday feeling.
A big thank you to the entire team – friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. You can tell that hospitality is truly valued here.

Hospitality at its best and a true hidden gem! A traditional Wörthersee house, meticulously maintained and run with such a warm, family atmosphere that you won't want to leave. A spacious garden with a private beach and a small menu. Everything is expertly prepared. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The evening playlist is perfectly tailored for guests of the 1972 generation, and Helmut lovingly serves the drinks. The prices are also very reasonable. No pretentious Wörthersee fuss here, because that's exactly what we want: to spend carefree days in a wonderful place with lovely people and impeccable service. Thank you for the relaxing time!

A unique hotel with a truly special atmosphere. You arrive and immediately feel at home. Our room was lovingly decorated in a boho style, with a direct view of the lake. We were told that all the rooms are individually decorated with a southern flair. The beach was right in front of the hotel on the lake, offering a breathtaking view, and best of all, no disturbing traffic noise! The breakfast was excellent and prepared with such care and attention to detail, featuring exceptional dishes – we haven't experienced anything comparable in other hotels. The staff was always friendly and very attentive to our needs. P.S. The homemade raspberry gin and tonic is highly recommended. We'll be back!
